Ability
As of now, I realize that campaigns, a brand's image, and designs restrict the participation of the disabled community. From my experience, I painfully recall the countless roadblocks that demolished my opportunity to fully practice my “ability.” I firmly believe in removing these restrictions via more inclusive campaigns. We must highlight the value and resiliency of the disabled. Through my work in adaptive fashion, I know there are countless roadmaps to achieve these goals. We as a society can work together to provide the disability community access to the same staple pieces of wardrobe their peers have access to 24/7.

Amplify
I believe a voice is the most powerful piece of equipment a person can be given. I believe a voice illustrates the message of the narrator. I believe a voice amplifies peoples' abilities; thoughts, goals, opinions, hopes, and stories. I believe a voice is a platform. I believe the disabled community needs to be provided multiple platforms to share their voice, and their “abilities.” The goal of a communication graduate is to assist individuals to share their voices. Simply put, communication is about creating the means to share these voices. As a communication major, I desire to actively create and establish these communication initiatives. I am determined to use my college degree to the best of my “ability” to find further ways to amplify their voices.
